According to the “Deutschen Kontinenz Gesellschaft” 5 million people in Germany are suffering under incontinence. Thereby 11% of the people over 60 and even 30% of the people over 80 are affected, women more than men.

The electro stimulation unit DIGITAL FIT® URO 1200 can help rapidly and reliable.
It is expected that the electro stimulation affects the nerve pudenda and generates a contraction of the pelvic floor musculature. The sphincter is triggered by electrical impulses without activity of the patients. During this so called automatically pelvic floor gymnastic the DIGITAL FIT® URO 1200 can effect a hypertrophy of the musculature, an increase of the muscle tonus and an enhancement of the ability of contraction of the pelvic floor. It can also be reached a normalization of the reflex paradigm of the sphincter (constrictor).

The URO 1200 contains 16 preset, easy to use incontinence programs:

• 7 programs against stress incontinence
• 5 programs against urge incontinence and
• 4 programs against mixed incontinence.

The stress incontinence leads to a loss of urine by an increased intra abdominal pressure, with is triggered by coughing, sneezing and laughing. A strong urge to urinate leads to a loss of urine by the urge incontinence before the toilet can be reached. The mixed incontinence is a combination of stress and urge incontinence. Thereby the symptoms of both types appear. Often one type has a stronger appearance.

For the rectal application the DIGITAL FIT® URO 1200 can be used in combination with the rectal applicator.
